Our lead product, The AssureGeneTM Test is the culmination of over fifteen years of research. The AssureGeneTM incorporates a large number of proprietary genes and genetic markers that can be used to enhance diagnosis and to determine a patient’s probable response to an atypical antipsychotic as well as likelihood of high risk patients progressing to psychosis.

To perform the test, DNA is collected as cheek swabs. SureGene and its partners analyze the DNA and communicate the results to the physician. The treating physician receives a report outlining the patient’s probable response to various antipsychotic medications, risk of disease progression from prodromal symptoms (or other high risk classification such as family history) to psychosis, risk of developing disease, and, ultimately, a biological classification of disease type. The physician then can use this additional information to create a personalized treatment plan for that patient to optimize the clinical outcome.
